The Lake Norman Marine Commission has been advised that the following Aids To Navigation (ATONs) are in need of repair, non functioning, missing or not in their proper location.

  • Marker 22 – Main Channel – Light Out Repair (August)

  • Marker 25 Sign Faded – Replace  (August)

Creek Channel Markers

Shoal Markers

  • Shoal Marker 1A Sign Missing – Replace (July)
  • Shoal Marker – Ramsey Creek @ Vineyard Point – Sign Missing – Replace (July)
  • Shoal Marker – Davidson Creek – Adjacent to T4 – Signs missing – Pole Leaning – Replace
  • Shoal Marker West of Blue Heron Island – Sign Missing

Bridge Buoys

  • Bridge Buoy –  North Side of Buffalo Shoals Rd. Bridge   Missing – Replace (August)
  • Bridge Buoy – Rail Road Bridge Mountain Creek – East Side Missing – Moved to LKN Marina by Lake Patrol
  • Bridge Buoy – East side of 150 Bridge @ Lake Norman Marina – Missing Replace

Keel Boat Buoys

  • Keel Boat Buoy – Out of Position – in Reed Creeks near D-11 – Report to Keel Boat Council
