Notice to Lake Norman Boaters 05/09/2016

The Lake Norman Marine Commission has been advised that the following Aids To Navigation (ATONs) are in need of repair, non functioning, missing or not in their proper location. 

Main Channel Markers

• Marker 2 – Sign Missing both Sides- Replace
• Marker 3 – Sign Missing both Sides – Replace
• Marker 21 – Sign Faded – North Side -Replace

Creek Channel Markers

• Marker P2 – PYC – Light Out – Repair
• Marker H2 – Hicks Creek – Sign Fade – Replace

Shoal Markers

• No Rafting Sign – Closest to Shoreline – Replace Pole and Sign
• Shoal Marker West of Blue Heron Island – Sign Missing

Bridge Buoys

• Bridge Buoys – 2 ea. Slanting Bridge RD. West Side – Out of Position/Remove one
• Bridge Buoy – Rail Road Bridge Mountain Creek – East Side Missing – Moved to LKN Marina by Lake Patrol
• Bridge Buoy – East side of 150 Bridge @ Lake Norman Marina – Missing Replace
• Bridge Buoy – Highway 150 Bridge – Mountain Creek — North Side – Light Out
