The Lake Norman Marine Commission has been advised that the following Aids To Navigation (ATONs) are in need of repair, non functioning, missing or not in their proper location.

Main Channel Markers

  • Marker 6 – Missing – Replace – (Jan 2017)

Creek Channel Markers

  • Marker M5 – Mountain Creek – Light Out – Repair – (Jan 2017)
  • Marker T5 – Davidson Creek – Light Out – Repair – (Jan 2017)

Shoal/Rock Markers

  • Rock Marker – Pinnacle Shores – Missing – Replace – (Jan 2017)

Bridge Buoys

  • Bridge Buoy – Rail Road Bridge Mountain Creek – East Side Missing – Replaced in early Jan 2017 – Missing again as of 1/25/17 – Replace – (Jan 2017)

Misc Buoys

  • No Wake Buoy – Hagers Creek Boat Access – Out of Position – Re-set – (NCWRC Bouy) – (Jan 2017)
  • Keel Boat Buoy “B” – Out of Position – is floating against the restrictive buoys at dam (Sept 2016)
